Made to measure - Measurements required
1. Bust -
Please note - this is not your bra size! Your arms should be relaxed and down at your sides and you must wear a bra for this measurement.
Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust. The tape measure must run directly over your nipples and across you shoulder blades on your back
2. Bust points -
For sizes 16+. This is simply the straight-line distance between your nipples.
3. Waist -
This is the smallest part of your waist and is also know as the natural waistline. Typically it's an inch or so above your belly button.
4. Hips -
This is the widest part of your hips / bottom area, not your hip bone. Standing with your feet together, measure approximately 7 inches below the natural waistline OR your fullest measurement.
IMPORTANT: For mermaid gowns: If your bottom or thighs measure bigger than your hips, please provide this measurement instead.
5. Natural Height -
Stand upright with your legs together and feet flat on the floor. Do this without shoes (you will need to provide the height of your wedding shoes seperately). Take the measurement from the top of your head to the floor
6. Hollow to hem -
Place the start of the tape measure at the hollow at the base of your neck. Measure from here down to where you want the hem to be e.g if you want a floor length gown then measure to the floor. Do this without shoes (you will need to provide the height of your wedding shoes seperately)
7. Heel Height -
Measure the height of your heels. If you haven't purchased your shoes yet, please give an estimate if possible or you can also leave this measurement blank and we will allow extra height for heels.
